Amity Club's Prexy Bonpin Ends Midterm with Birthday Bash

As he completed the first year of his two-year term as President of the Fil-Chinese Amity Club, Inc., Butuan City Chapter, Pres. Aniceto Bonpin, Jr.
invited all members of the Club to his residence for a birthday celebration.
The sumptuous banquet complete with suckling pig, prepared by Mary Angeline for her husband's celebration was not only a sight to behold but it was a culinary delight as well.

During his yearlong incumbency, regular meetings were held which were well-attended by members. Projects which he himself initiated were popularly supported by the general membership to the extent that voluntary donations were given since no membership fee or annual dues are paid.

The induction of officers in their smart Chinese style barongs held at the Almont Inland Resort Convention Center was a roaring success, attended as it was by members of other Amity Clubs from the Visayas and some parts of Mindanao . The celebration of China 's National Day with a motorcade around the town and culminating in tree planting at the Ga'am Butuan Pabahay site at Pagatpatan, Butuan City was well received.

The monthly Anti-Diabetes test jointly conducted with the Butuan City (Host) Lions Club is a public service project which deserves commendation. The joint celebration of the Spring Festival with the Fil-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, the Timber City Academy Board of Trustees and the Fil-Chinese Gui Seng Association showed its solidarity with the Chinese Filipino community which intends to revive some of the cherished customs and tradition of their forebears.

All of these activities augur well for the second half of his term as President. Not only is he a good businessman and a gentleman farmer, he is also the Executive Vice President of the Fil-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and the Area Representative to the Federation. This young entrepreneur bears watching, he has a very bright future before him.
