Amity Club's Prexy Bonpin Ends Midterm with Birthday Bash As he completed the first year of his two-year term as President of the Fil-Chinese Amity Club, Inc., Butuan City Chapter, Pres. Aniceto Bonpin, Jr. During his yearlong incumbency, regular meetings were held which were well-attended by members. Projects which he himself initiated were popularly supported by the general membership to the extent that voluntary donations were given since no membership fee or annual dues are paid. The monthly Anti-Diabetes test jointly conducted with the Butuan City (Host) Lions Club is a public service project which deserves commendation. The joint celebration of the Spring Festival with the Fil-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, the Timber City Academy Board of Trustees and the Fil-Chinese Gui Seng Association showed its solidarity with the Chinese Filipino community which intends to revive some of the cherished customs and tradition of their forebears. All of these activities augur well for the second half of his term as President. Not only is he a good businessman and a gentleman farmer, he is also the Executive Vice President of the Fil-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and the Area Representative to the Federation. This young entrepreneur bears watching, he has a very bright future before him. |
